About
My name is Francie Cohen, founder and editor of Divinity.
The idea first sparked in high school during a women’s health class, where I was struck by the unseen challenges women face. I began filling journals with notes, realizing how urgently we need spaces to share these stories and amplify women’s voices.
Now a graduate from The New School studying Culture and Media, Journalism, and Fine Arts, my passion for women’s culture has only grown. Divinity is a space for the shes and theys to share their art, stories, and experiences; stories of resilience, struggle, joy, and growth that are too often silenced.
In this debut issue, you’ll find art and writing that reflect our contributors’ diverse perspectives. Moving forward, Divinity will explore culture, health, politics, queerness, spirituality, love, gender, fashion, wellness, and music; always to challenge the patriarchal status quo and imagine change.
Your support makes this space possible. By engaging with Divinity, you help foster a community built on honesty, empowerment, and hope. I invite you to contribute your own voice and art to future issues.
Welcome to Divinity.
